If you are considering submitting an applicationto UIC, the regular decision application deadline is February 2 and the fee for the application is $60. Application fees can add up, but some schools do have free applications and students who are struggling to afford application fees may be eligible for an application fee waiver.

Applying Early to UIC?

University of Illinois at Chicago does not offer early decision but does offer early action.

Mark your calendar! The Early Action deadline is November 2, which is coming up fast! UIC will release EA admissions decisions no later than December 1.

Some students apply to college early because they believe it will help their chances. Is UIC Hard To Get Into?

Getting into UIC is moderately difficult. UIC evaluates applicants carefully based on multiple criteria to decide who to admit, and who to deny.

What GPA Do I Need To Get Into UIC?

Students admitted to UIC have an average unweighted GPA of 3.4.

Out of all students that were admitted, 45% submitted a class rank. At UIC 28% of students ranked in the top 10% of their graduating class in high school, 59% were in the top 25% and 90% were in the top 50%.

UIC does not have a test optional admissions policy. Test optional schools allow students to choose if they want to submit ACT or SAT scores with their applications or not.

What's a Good SAT Score for UIC?

To be competitive with other UIC applicants, you should strive to earn between 1040 and 1230 (or higher!) on the SAT. At UIC 25% of admitted students scored higher than 1230 and 25% of scored lower than 1040, but the majority of students scored somewhere in between these two numbers.

On the SAT Math Section, 25% of UIC students scored 640 or higher and 75% of students scored 510 or higher. On the SAT Critical Reading section (formerly called the Verbal section), 25% of UIC students scored 610 or higher, and 75% scored a 510 or higher.
