UC Davis has a friendly and inclusive atmosphere that invites students to foster community through academics, extracurricular activities, and collaboration. The UC Davis athletic teams, or the Aggies as they are known, are composed of 25 NCAA Division I sports as a member of the Big West Conference. There is a big focus on football, basketball, baseball, and soccer at UC Davis, and the school has won many competitions in those sports. UC Davis has a longstanding rivalry with the Cal Poly Mustangs, and games between the two are known to rally the most enthusiasm and school spirit.
