Bonas is on a 500-acre campus in a small town setting in St. Bonaventure, New York. Bonas has many clubs, organizations, and activities for students to participate in – chorus, theater groups, a campus newspaper, a radio station and more.
Bonas does not have fraternities or sororities.
Bonas has a thriving Student Government Organization. In fact, more students participate in Student Government Organization than any other on-campus activity.
Other popular student organizations at Bonas include WSBU The Buzz Radio Station, Dance Team, Mock Trial Club and Bona Buddies.
Bonas students' favorite campus traditions are Family Weekend, Spring Weekend and First Home Basketball Game of the Year.
Bonas offers housing. Students are required to live on campus through junior year. First year students are guaranteed on-campus housing.
The majority of Bonas students live on campus. In 2021, 82% of undergrads at Bonas lived in some kind of on-campus housing and 16% of students lived off-campus or commuted to Bonas. There are 1,625 spots available in on-campus housing for all 1,839 undergraduates. In the 2020-21 school year, 1,516 students chose to live in campus housing. On the weekends, about 75% students stay on-campus. First year students are allowed to park a car on campus.
Bonas offers coed housing and housing for students with disabilities.
College is like a home away from home. Whether you're walking to class or coming back from late-night studying (or partying!), it's important to feel safe on campus.
St. Bonaventure University is patroled 24 hours a day by trained security. The Bonas campus has emergency telephones or alarms for students to use anytime of day or night.
Bonas offers late-night transportation or safety escorts for students. Campus housing is secure and dorms can only be accessed with secure key cards.
Additionally, Bonas has 500 recorded surveillance cameras, a text to speech high powered speaker array for emergency notification, emergency notification texti.
