SMCC is on a 701-acre campus in a rural setting in Summit, MS. There are many activities and organizations for SMCC students to participate in – band, chorus,, a campus newspaper, and more.
SMCC does not have fraternities or sororities.
SMCC offers housing. Students are not required to live on campus
Most SMCC students live off campus. In 2021, 35% of undergrads at SMCC lived in some kind of on-campus housing SMCC does not offer coed housing or housing for students with disabilities.
College is like a home away from home. Whether you're walking to class or coming back from late-night studying (or partying!), it's important to feel safe on campus.
Southwest Mississippi Community College is patroled 24 hours a day by trained security.
