About San Francisco Conservatory of Music

The San Francisco Conservatory of Music (SFCM) offers a complete education in music that amounts to much more than a music degree. With an enrollment of only 450, SFCM is a tight-knit community that celebrates creativity, collaboration, and the highest standards of artistry. As the only collegiate conservatory in the Bay Area, SFCM students work alongside internationally-known artists appearing on San Francisco’s major stages and have the opportunity to gig all around the area from Napa Valley to Silicon Valley. SFCM alumni hold leading roles as performers, educators, founders of ensembles and festivals, and innovators in business. Recent graduates have won positions with acclaimed orchestras such as the Atlanta Opera Orchestra, Dallas Symphony Orchestra, and San Francisco Ballet Orchestra, and in major sound recording organizations such as Sony PlayStation and sE Electronics.
