About NH Community Technical College - Claremont

River Valley Community College is a small, rural community college located on the western border of the state of New Hampshire. The College’s service area extends from Keene, NH in the southwestern portion of the state, up to Hanover, NH to the north, spanning approximately eighty-five miles.

River Valley Community College enrolls approximately 900 students each year. Most of our students attend part-time (83%), while 17% of our students attend RVCC full-time. We offer in-person, online and hybrid courses to meet the needs of the changing world with 80% of our student body taking at least one online course. Our student body is 77% female, 23% male with a median age of 29 years old. Our student-to-faculty ratio is 7:1 with 27 full-time faculty and 66 part-time and adjunct faculty.

Our tuition and fees is approximately $6,940 per year for full-time students. Nearly all of our students (89%) receive some Financial Aid through grants, scholarships and loans to help pay for their education.
