About Duke

Duke University is a private, religious school in a suburban setting in Durham, North Carolina. Duke was founded in 1838 and now enrolls around 16,172 students a year, including 6,717 undergrads. Duke offers on-campus housing for students. The majority of students live on campus, and first year-students are required to live in campus housing.
