bethany is on a 50-acre campus in a small town setting in Mankato, Minnesota, not far from Minneapolis-St. Paul. bethany has many clubs, organizations, and activities for students to participate in – chorus, theater groups, a campus newspaper, and more.
bethany does not have fraternities or sororities.
bethany has a thriving Bethany Activities Committee. In fact, more students participate in Bethany Activities Committee than any other on-campus activity.
Other popular student organizations at bethany include Student Senate, Scholastic Leadership Society, PAMA (Promoting Awareness, spurring Motivation, and encouraging Action) and Bethany Society of Royal Scientists.
bethany students' favorite campus traditions are Spring Formal, Fall Festival and Luthapalooza.
bethany offers housing. Students are required to live on campus through sophomore year. First year students are guaranteed on-campus housing.
The majority of bethany students live on campus. In 2021, 62% of undergrads at bethany lived in some kind of on-campus housing and 38% of students lived off-campus or commuted to bethany. There are 534 spots available in on-campus housing for all 769 undergraduates. In the 2020-21 school year, 385 students chose to live in campus housing. On the weekends, about 30% students stay on-campus. First year students are allowed to park a car on campus.bethany does not offer coed housing or housing for students with disabilities.
College is like a home away from home. Whether you're walking to class or coming back from late-night studying (or partying!), it's important to feel safe on campus.
Bethany Lutheran College is patroled 24 hours a day by trained security. The bethany campus has emergency telephones or alarms for students to use anytime of day or night.
bethany offers late-night transportation or safety escorts for students. Campus housing is secure and dorms can only be accessed with secure key cards.
