The American Academy of Art College is a small, private, not-for-profit institution that was founded in 1923. We offer a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. Our curriculum focuses on skills necessary for a professional career in art. The Foundations Program consists of Life Drawing and Fundamentals of Art. These courses are offered to first year students in preparation for the lower and upper division courses in their program. These studies also give students experience in the full artistic process and prepare students for courses in their intended major. Our faculty, most of which are full time, consist of working artists who can give students a perspective of the real world of art. Career Services features career readiness skills such as resume writing, portfolio development and interviewing expertise. Career Services also offers life-time career development and support for employment opportunities.
