The College of Westchester requires at least 120 credits to graduate with a bachelor's degree. Students can choose the accelarated degree program if they would like to finish all the credits for graduation in less time than normal. The College of Westchester offers an orientation program before the start of fall classes to prepare new students for college life.
The College of Westchester has a core curriculum, which means there are certain classes or types of classes all students must take to graduate. Students do not need to fulfull a language requirement or a math or science requirement. Students are required to take a computer class to fufill the graduation requirements for The College of Westchester.

Student struggling to choose just one area of study may consider a double major. Double majoring may require more work but it can provide an interesting mix of experience that helps students stand out when job searching or applying to a graduate program.
Students must choose one of the majors offered by the college. Self-designed majors are not allowed. The College of Westchester does not require all students to complete a senior project.

The College of Westchester offers an honors program for highly-qualified applicants, but does not offer a Freshman Honors College.
The College of Westchester requires an internship for students in some majors only. Students can look for internships during the summer, or gain work experience with a part-time job.
