SAC Academics

Spring Arbor University requires at least 124 credits to complete a bachelor's degree. If students would like to graduate in less time than normal, they can choose the accelerated degree program. Around 52% of students who started college at SAC graduate within six years. SAC offers an orientation program before the start of fall classes to prepare new students for college life.

What Classes Do I Have To Take at SAC?

SAC has a core curriculum, which means there are certain classes or types of classes all students must take to graduate. Students are not required to fulfill a lanuage requirement , but there is a math and science requirement. Students are not required to take a computer class to graduate.

Majors at SAC

When choosing a major, SAC students have several choices to make. Scroll down to see a full list of majors offered at SAC below. Student struggling to choose just one area of study may consider a double major. Declaring a double major may require more work but it can provide a unique combination of experience that helps students stand out when looking for a job or applying to grad school.

If students would like to study something that is not offered as an official major, they can design their own major. SAC does not require a senior project for all students.

Does SAC Offer Learning Disability Services?

SAC offers services for students with disabilities. Prospective students can contact the college's Office of Disability Services to learn more about any support and accomodations offered. These conversations are usually kept confidential and will not be shared with the admissions office if you do not wish to share.

Does SAC Have An Online Program?

SAC has distance learning options for students who are interested in taking classes online.

Does SAC Give AP Credit?

SAC offers some credit for Advanced Placement (AP) classes taken in high school. Schools have different requirements for what AP scores they accept, so some students may not receive AP credit.

Does SAC Have An Honor's Program?

SAC offers an honors program for highly-qualified applicants, and does not offer a Freshman Honors College. The Freshman Honors college provides a rich curriculum for highly-motivated first-year students.

Does SAC Require Internships?

SAC does not require an internship for all students Students can still look for internships during the summer, or gain work experience with a part-time job.
