South Central College requires a minimum of to complete a bachelor's degree. There is no accelarated degree program, . South Central Collegedoes not offer classes during the summer. South Central College offers an orientation program before the start of fall classes to prepare new students for college life.
South Central College does not have a core curriculum. Since there are no specific-classes required in order to graduate, students have a lot of flexibiity about what classes they choose to take. Students are not required to fulfill a lanuage requirement or a math or science requirement. Students do not have to take a computer class.

Students must choose one of the majors offered by the college. Self-designed majors are not allowed. South Central College does not require a senior project for all students.

South Central College has distance learning options for students who are interested in taking classes online.
South Central College offers some credit for Advanced Placement (AP) classes taken in high school. Schools have different requirements for what AP scores they accept, so some students may not receive AP credit.
