Michigan Tech Academics

Michigan Technological University requires a minimum of 120 credits to complete a bachelor's degree. If students would like to graduate in less time than normal, they can choose the accelerated degree program. Around 72% of students who started college at Michigan Tech finish the requirements for graduation within six years. Michigan Tech offers an orientation program before the start of fall classes to prepare new students for college life.

Which Courses Are Required at Michigan Tech?

Michigan Tech has a core curriculum, which means there are certain classes or types of classes all students must take to graduate. Students do not need to fulfull a language requirement , but there is a math and science requirement. Students are not required to take a computer class to graduate.
