Concordia Academics

Concordia College-New York requires a minimum of 122 credit hours to complete a bachelor's degree. Students can choose the accelarated degree program if they would like to finish all the credits for graduation in less time than normal. Around 46% of students who started college at Concordia graduate within six years. Concordia offers an orientation program before the start of fall classes to prepare new students for college life.

Which Courses Do I Have To Take at Concordia?

Concordia has a core curriculum, which means there are certain classes or types of classes all students must take to graduate. Students do not need to fulfull a language requirement , but there is a math and science requirement. Students do not have to take a computer class.

Majors at Concordia

Student struggling to choose just one area of study may consider a double major. Double majoring may require more work but it can provide an interesting mix of experience that helps students stand out when looking for a job or applying to grad school.

If students would like to study something that is not offered as an official major, they can design their own major. Concordia does not require all students to complete a senior project.
