CSU Fresno Academics

California State University, Fresno requires a minimum of 120 units to graduate with a bachelor's degree. If students would like to graduate in less time than normal, they can choose the accelerated degree program. CSU Fresno offers an orientation program before the start of fall classes to prepare new students for college life.

Which Courses Do I Have To Take at CSU Fresno?

CSU Fresno has a core curriculum, which means there are certain classes or types of classes all students must take to graduate. Students do not need to fulfull a language requirement , but there is a math and science requirement. Students are not required to take a computer class to graduate.

If students would like to study something that is not offered as an official major, they can design their own major. CSU Fresno does not require all students to complete a senior project.
