CSU Chico Academics

California State University, Chico requires a minimum of 120 units to graduate with a bachelor's degree. There is no accelarated degree program, . CSU Chicodoes not offer classes during the summer. CSU Chico offers an orientation program before the start of fall classes to prepare new students for college life.

Which Courses Do I Have To Take at CSU Chico?

CSU Chico has a core curriculum, which means there are certain classes or types of classes all students must take to graduate. Students do not need to fulfull a language requirement , but there is a math and science requirement. Students are not required to take a computer class to graduate.

Majors at CSU Chico

Student struggling to choose just one area of study may consider a double major. Declaring a double major may require more work but it can provide an interesting mix of experience that helps students stand out when looking for a job or applying to grad school.

If students would like to study something that is not offered as an official major, they can design their own major. CSU Chico does not require a senior project for all students.
