Bennett Academics

Bennett College requires a minimum of 120 credit hours to complete a bachelor's degree. There is no accelarated degree program, . Additionally, Bennett has a summer session, so students can earn credits during the summer. Around 37% of students who started college at Bennett finish the requirements for graduation within six years. Bennett offers an orientation program before the start of fall classes to prepare new students for college life.

What Classes Are Required at Bennett?

Bennett has a core curriculum, which means there are certain classes or types of classes all students must take to graduate. Students need to fulfull a language requirement as well as a math and science requirement. Students do not have to take a computer class.

Majors at Bennett

When choosing a major, Bennett students have several choices to make. Scroll down to see a full list of majors offered at Bennett below. Student struggling to choose just one area of study may consider a double major. Declaring a double major may mean taking more courses, but it can provide a unique combination of experience that helps students stand out when looking for a job or applying to grad school.

If students would like to study something that is not offered as an official major, they can design their own major. Bennett does not require a senior project for all students.

Does Bennett Offer Learning Disability Services?

Bennett offers services for students with disabilities. Prospective students can contact the college's Office of Disability Services to learn more about any support and accomodations offered. These conversations are usually kept confidential and will not be shared with the admissions office if you do not wish to share.

Does Bennett Have An Online Program?

Bennett has distance learning options for students who are interested in taking classes online.

Does Bennett Give Credit for AP Classes?

Bennett offers some credit for Advanced Placement (AP) classes taken in high school. Schools have different requirements for what AP scores they accept, so some students may not receive AP credit.

Does Bennett Have An Honor's Program?

Bennett offers an honors program for highly-qualified applicants, but does not offer a Freshman Honors College.

Does Bennett Require Internships?

Bennett does not require an internship for all students Students can still look for internships during the summer, or gain work experience with a part-time job.
