UMich Flint offers housing. Students are not required to live on campus. First year students are given no special consideration for on-campus housing.
Most UMich Flint students live off campus. In 2022, 2% of undergrads at UMich Flint lived in some kind of on-campus housing and 98% of students lived off-campus or commuted to UMich Flint. There are 715 spots available in on-campus housing for all 4,995 undergraduates. In the 2021-2022 school year, 81 students chose to live in campus housing. On the weekends, about 6% students stay on-campus. First year students are allowed to park a car on campus.
