SAUT Student Activities

There are many activities and organizations for SAUT students to join – including theater groups, a radio station and more.

Interested in Greek life? SAUT does not have fraternities or sororities.

SAUT has the Phi Beta Lambda. In fact, more students participate in the Phi Beta Lambda than any other on-campus activity.

Other popular student organizations at SAUT include TEC@Tech, Allied Health Student Club, Aviation Club and Multimedia Club.

SAUT students' favorite campus events are Student Appreciation Day, Ed-U-Fest and Fall Preview Day.

Does SAUT Offer Student Housing?

SAUT offers on-campus housing. Students are not required to live on campus. First year students are given no special consideration for on-campus housing.

Most SAUT students live off campus. In 2022, 2% of undergrads at SAUT lived in some kind of on-campus housing and 98% of students lived off-campus or commuted to SAUT. There are 94 spots available in on-campus housing for all 1,650 undergraduates. In the 2021-2022 school year, 84 students chose to live on-campus. On the weekends, about 2% students stay on-campus. First year students are allowed to park a car on campus.

SAUT does not have any athletic programs or the school has not reported any information on their athletic teams.

Safety at SAUT

College is like a home away from home. Whether you're walking to class or coming back from late-night studying (or partying!), it's important to feel safe on campus.

Southern Arkansas University Tech is patroled 24 hours a day by trained security. The SAUT campus has emergency telephones or alarms for students to use anytime of day or night.

SAUT offers late-night transportation or safety escorts for students.
