RCAD is on a 49-acre campus in the urban setting of Sarasota, Florida, not far from Tampa-St. Petersburg.

RCAD offers housing for students. Students are not required to live on campus. First year students are given priority for on-campus housing.
The majority of RCAD students live on campus. In 2022, 73% of undergrads at RCAD lived in some kind of on-campus housing and 27% of students lived off-campus or commuted to RCAD. There are 1,276 spots available in on-campus housing for all 1,663 undergraduates. In the 2021-2022 school year, 1,214 students chose to live in campus housing. On the weekends, about 73% students stay on-campus. First year students are not allowed to park a car on campus.
RCAD offers coed housing and housing for students with disabilities.
RCAD does not have any athletic programs or the school has not reported any information on their athletic teams.
College is like a home away from home. Whether you're walking to class or coming back from late-night studying (or partying!), it's important to feel safe on campus.
Ringling College of Art and Design is patroled 24 hours a day by trained security. The RCAD campus has emergency telephones or alarms for students to use anytime of day or night.
RCAD offers late-night transportation or safety escorts for students. Campus housing is secure and dorms can only be accessed with secure key cards.
