There is no accelarated degree program at FIT, but students who wish to save money or graduate early can look into transferring in credits. FIT accepts transfer credits. The school accepts AP credit and IB credits. Many students like to take classes in the summer, to earn extra credits. However, FIT does not offer classes during the summer.
NOTE: Around 70% of students who start college at FIT finish the requirements for graduation within six years.

Student Designed Majors
Students must choose one of the majors offered by the college. Self-designed majors are not allowed.
Senior Projects
FIT does not require a senior project for all students.
Double Majoring at FIT
At FIT, students are not permitted to double major, and must choose just one area of study to focus on.

Prospective students can contact the college's Office of Accessibility Services to learn more about any support and accomodations offered. These conversations are usually kept confidential and will not be shared with the admissions office if you do not wish to share.
✅ FIT has distance learning options for students who are interested in taking classes online.
✅ FIT offers some credit for Advanced Placement (AP) classes taken in high school. Schools have different requirements for what AP scores they accept, so some students may not receive AP credit.
✅ FIT offers an honors program for highly-qualified applicants, but does not offer a Freshman Honors College.
❌ FIT does not require an internship for any students.
Students can still look for internships during the summer, or gain work experience with a part-time job.
The main library on campus is the Gladys Marcus Library.
A dual degree program allows a student to study and earn two degrees at the same time.
FIT does not have any dual degree programs available for students.
Does FIT have any ROTC programs?
Each branch of the miltary has its own ROTC program, but not every program is available at every university. Possible programs include Army ROTC, Air Force ROTC, and Navy ROTC.
