Mainly brick and have a nice, older look to them. Campus is clean and has a lot of green space. Great size and is nicely separated from rest of the city. A busy road cuts facilities from housing tho.

Very clean and well managed. The older buildings hold up very well and are obviously cared for. Pretty aesthetically pleasing. Some buildings are LEED certified too! Sustainable + eco-friendly

A lot of blue light systems throughout the school. Campus police are available and are trained the same way as the state troopers, but are not overwhelming or menacing, which is great.

Students are really kind and smart, departments are passionate and educated, buildings are beautiful, clean, and cared for, school really cares about diversity and inclusion, fun student scene.

UVM is on top of a hill near Burlington, and the city is more biking distance than walking. Burlington is really cool, but a little small. Farmland and suburbia are very close.

City/Town/Community:
5 - Excellent

Burlington has great shopping, great food, and a great music scene. There is definitely ALWAYS something going on. A bit small, though.

Campus Visit Notes for University of Vermont

Visit Description:

UVM is a really relaxed and supportive place. Students have a lot of fun, but definitely know how to work hard and study. School administration seems to be very supportive and dedicated to progress and great education. The professors and students really love their respective fields and genuinely care about one another. Students are really into nature, as well as the arts. Burlington has a really big music and arts scene, which the students seem to really appreciate. The facilities are very well cared for (from what I saw) and there is a lot of sustainability and green space being utilized.
