Campus Visit Notes for Franciscan University of Steubenville

Visit Description:

From my post when my son toured. Well, we toured Franciscan today. Very thorough tour, from New Semester Mass, to lunch, to dorms, classes, chapels. S18 and I loved the small size, the beauty, the conservative aspect Then S18 and I both had separate interviews with our admission counselor (whom we’ve been in regular contact with since August). After all that, S18 told me that Franciscan is where he definitely wants to go. There is too much nudging us this way to ignore (personal spiritual opinion).
So I paid the housing deposit. The choice is made.

Hotel/Lodging Recommendations or Comments:

Microtel down the street from the college. We have stayed there every time we’ve since been on campus (as of November 2018.)

Dining/Restaurant Recommendations or Comments:

We ate at a Bob Evans when we were there.

Other Comments (Transportation, local attractions, parking, etc.):

There is no little public transportation. Students usually walk in town to what they need. Nearest big city is Pittsburgh, 30 miles away.
