Pac-12 Conference Schools
The Pac-12 Conference is a Division I collegiate athletic conference based on the West Coast of the US. Pac-12 is also commonly referred to as the Pacific 12 Conference. Pac-12’s history dates back to 1915 when the Pacific Coast Conference was founded as a conference of four schools. The PCC was disbanded in 1959 and a new conference called the Athletic association of Western Universities was formed with the same five member schools. Since 1959, the conference has undergone several name changes including Pacific 8 and Pacific 10. In 2011, the conference officially became the Pacific 12 when two additional teams boosted the membership to 12 schools. Pac-12, as it is commonly known, has won over 500 NCAA Championships, including 8 NCAA titles in 2021. The Pac-12 sponsors 11 men’s sports and 13 women’s sports.
The University of Arizona
The University of Arizona joined the Pac-12 in 1978. U of A has a total of 19 team NCAA national titles and over 176 individual NCAA national titles. The University of Arizona athletic teams are known as the Wildcats.
Washington State University
Washington State University joined the Pacific 12 in 1917. Washington State teams are known as the Cougars. The Washington State Cougars have won two NCAA national team titles and over 80 NCAA national individual titles.
Arizona State University at Tempe
Arizona State University joined the Pac-12 in 1978. Arizona State has a total of 24 NCAA team national titles and over 112 individual NCAA national titles. The Sun Devils is the nickname for the Arizona State athletic teams.
University of California, Berkeley
University of California, Berkeley joined Pac-12 in 1915 as a founding member. The UC Berkeley teams are known as the Golden Bears. The school has 38 NCAA national team titles and over 241 NCAA national individual titles. In 2021, the Golden Bears won the national title for men’s water polo.
University of California, Los Angeles
University of California, Los Angeles joined the Pac-12 in 1928. The school has a total of 119 NCAA national team titles and over 269 individual titles. UCLA teams are known as the Bruins. In 2021 the UCLA Bruins won the NCAA national title for men’s water polo.
University of Colorado Boulder
University of Colorado, Boulder joined Pac-12 in 2011. CU Boulder has 27 NCAA team titles and over 128 individual titles. CU Boulder teams are known as the Buffaloes.
University of Oregon
University of Oregon joined the Pac-12 in 1915 as a founding member. University of Oregon has 34 national team titles and over 144 national individual titles. Oregon teams are known as the Ducks. In 2021 the Ducks won the NCAA national title for men’s indoor track & field.
Oregon State University
Oregon State University joined Pac-12 in 1915 as a founding member. Oregon State has four NCAA team titles and over 39 individual national titles. Oregon State teams are known as the Beavers.
University of Southern California
University of Southern California joined the Pac-12 in 1922. USC teams are known as the Trojans. USC has 110 NCAA team national titles and over 390 NCAA individual national titles. In 2021 the USC Trojans won NCAA national titles for women’s outdoor track & field, women’s water polo, and for beach volleyball.
Stanford University
Stanford University joined Pac-12 in 1918. Stanford teams are known as the Stanford Cardinal. Overall, Stanford has won 128 NCAA team titles and over 480 NCAA individual titles. In 2021 Stanford won the NCAA national titles for women’s basketball, and for men’s gymnastics.
University of Utah
University of Utah joined the Pac-12 in 2011. University of Utah teams are known as the Utes. The Utah Utes have won 23 NCAA national team titles and over 100 NCAA national individual titles. In 2021, the University of Utah won the NCAA national title for skiing, which is a co-ed sport.
