The past two summers were a mixture of learning, work, and relaxation. I took summer school classes to make room in my fall schedule for more advanced courses. My usual summer work continued: working for my disabled grandmother, doing neighborhood yard work, and giving guitar lessons (when not improving my own skills on that instrument). The Pennsylvania Governor’s School occupied the bulk of my rising-senior summer for the Sciences at Carnegie Mellon University. My relaxation: playing guitar and reading.
