Southern California Institute of Technology requires a minimum of 180 quarter credit hours to graduate with a bachelor's degree.
If students would like to graduate in less time than normal, they can choose the accelerated degree program. SCIT accepts transfer credits. Additionally, SCIT has a summer session, so students can earn credits during the summer.
SCIT offers an orientation program before the start of fall classes to prepare new students for college life.

Student Designed Majors
Students must choose one of the majors offered by the college. Self-designed majors are not allowed.
Senior Projects
Students are not required to complete a senior project unless it is required for their specific major.
Double Majoring at SCIT
SCIT offers students the option to double major, if they would like. Student struggling to choose just one area of study may consider a double major.
NOTE: Declaring a double major may require more work but it can provide a unique combination of experience that helps students stand out when job searching or applying to a graduate program.

❌ SCIT does not have distance learning options or fully-online programs, so students must be able to attend classes on-campus.
❌ SCIT does not offer credit for Advanced Placement (AP) classes taken during high school.
❌ SCIT does not offer an honors program or a Freshman Honor College.
❌ SCIT studets are not required to complete an internship.
Students can still look for internships during the summer, or gain work experience with a part-time job. While SCIT does not require internships for students of any major, internships are a great way to get work experience, discover career paths that might fit you, or rule out ones that don't.
The main library on campus is the SCIT Library and there is one other library on campus.
A dual degree program allows a student to study and earn two degrees at the same time.

Does SCIT have any ROTC programs?
Each branch of the miltary has its own ROTC program, but not every program is available at every university. Possible programs include Army ROTC, Air Force ROTC, and Navy ROTC.
