ORJC Academics

Rose State College requires at least to graduate with a bachelor's degree. If students would like to graduate in less time than normal, they can choose the accelerated degree program. ORJC does not offer an orientation program before the start of fall classes.

Which Courses Are Required at ORJC?

ORJC has a core curriculum, which means there are certain classes or types of classes all students must take to graduate. Students are not required to fulfill a lanuage requirement , but there is a math and science requirement. Students do not have to take a computer class.

When choosing a major, ORJC students have several choices to make. Scroll down to see a full list of majors offered at ORJC below. ORJC does not offer double majors, so students must choose on area of study to focus on. .

Students must choose one of the majors offered by the college. Self-designed majors are not allowed. .

Does ORJC Have Services For Students With Disabilities?

ORJC offers services for students with disabilities. Prospective students can contact the college's Office of Disability Services to learn more about any support and accomodations offered. These conversations are usually kept confidential and will not be shared with the admissions office if you do not wish to share.

Does ORJC Offer Online Classes?

ORJC has distance learning options for students who are interested in taking classes online.

Does ORJC Give Credit for AP Classes?

ORJC offers some credit for Advanced Placement (AP) classes taken in high school. Schools have different requirements for what AP scores they accept, so some students may not receive AP credit.

Does ORJC Have An Honor's Program?

ORJC offers an honors program for highly-qualified applicants, and does not offer a Freshman Honors College. The Freshman Honors college provides a rich curriculum for highly-motivated first-year students.

Does ORJC Require Internships?

ORJC does not require an internship for all students Students can still look for internships during the summer, or gain work experience with a part-time job.
