Northwest University is on a 56-acre campus in a suburban setting in Kirkland, Washington, not far from Seattle. There are many activities and organizations for Northwest University students to participate in – chorus, theater groups, a campus newspaper, and more.
Northwest University does not have fraternities or sororities.
Northwest University has a thriving Student Ministries. In fact, more students participate in Student Ministries than any other on-campus activity.

Northwest University offers housing. Students are required to live on campus through sophomore year. First year students are guaranteed on-campus housing.
The majority of Northwest University students live on campus. In 2021, 55% of undergrads at Northwest University lived in some kind of on-campus housing and 46% of students lived off-campus or commuted to Northwest University. There are 514 spots available in on-campus housing for all 1,871 undergraduates. In the 2020-21 school year, 488 students chose to live in campus housing. On the weekends, about 50% students stay on-campus. First year students are allowed to park a car on campus.Northwest University does not offer coed housing or housing for students with disabilities.

Northwest University is patroled 24 hours a day by trained security. The Northwest University campus has emergency telephones or alarms for students to use anytime of day or night.
Northwest University offers late-night transportation or safety escorts for students. Campus housing is secure and dorms can only be accessed with secure key cards.
