LBWCC Academics

There is no accelarated degree program at LBWCC, but students who wish to save money or graduate early can look into transferring in credits.

LBWCC does accept transfer credits. Additionally, LBWCC has a summer session, so students can earn credits during the summer.

LBWCC offers an orientation program before the start of fall classes to prepare new students for college life.

Which Courses Do I Have To Take at LBWCC?

LBWCC does not have a core curriculum. Since there are no specific-classes required in order to graduate, students have a lot of flexibiity about what classes they choose to take.

Students are not required to fulfill a lanuage requirementor a math or science requirement. Students are not required to take a computer class to graduate.

Students must choose one of the majors offered by the college. Self-designed majors are not allowed. LBWCC does not require a senior project for all students.

Does LBWCC Offer Learning Disability Services?

LBWCC does not offer services for students with disabilities.

Does LBWCC Offer Online Classes?

LBWCC has distance learning options for students who are interested in taking classes online.

Does LBWCC Give AP Credit?

LBWCC does not offer credit for Advanced Placement (AP) classes taken during high school.

Does LBWCC Have An Honors Program?

LBWCC offers an honors program for highly-qualified applicants, but does not offer a Freshman Honors College.

Does LBWCC Require Internships?

LBWCC does not require an internship for any students. Students can still look for internships during the summer, or gain work experience with a part-time job. While LBWCC does not require internships for students in any majors, internships can help students gain hands-on work experience for their resume, and explore career paths that interest them without committing to one path.

ROTC

The Reserve Officers' Training Corps, which is also commonly known as ROTC, is a leadership program that prepares students to serve in the U.S. Armed Forces after graduation. College level ROTC programs prepare students to become officers in the military through physical, academic, and leadership training. ROTC programs are part of the college curriculum and usually cover the cost of tuition.

Each branch of the miltary has its own ROTC program, but not every program is available at every university. Possible programs include Army ROTC, Air Force ROTC, and Navy ROTC.

LBWCC does not have any ROTC programs.

Dual Degree Programs at LBWCC

A dual degree program allows a student to study and earn two degrees at the same time. A 3-2 dual degree program is a five-year program wherein the first three years are spend taking undergraduate courses and the final two years are spent taking graduate courses. Upon completion of the 5 years, the student will be awarded two degrees, a bachelor's degree and a master's degree.

LBWCC does not have any dual degree programs available for students.
