LA Tech Academics

Louisiana Tech University requires at least 126 credit hours to graduate with a bachelor's degree. There is no accelarated degree program, . LA Techdoes not offer classes during the summer. Around 62% of students who started college at LA Tech complete all the credits required within six years. LA Tech offers an orientation program before the start of fall classes to prepare new students for college life.

What Classes Do I Have To Take at LA Tech?

LA Tech has a core curriculum, which means there are certain classes or types of classes all students must take to graduate. Students do not need to fulfull a language requirement , but there is a math and science requirement. Students are not required to take a computer class to graduate.

Students must choose one of the majors offered by the college. Self-designed majors are not allowed. LA Tech does not require a senior project for all students.
