Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center requires at least 120 credits to complete a bachelor's degree. Students can choose the accelarated degree program if they would like to finish all the credits for graduation in less time than normal. LSU Health Sciences Center offers an orientation program before the start of fall classes to prepare new students for college life.
LSU Health Sciences Center does not have a core curriculum. Since there are no specific-classes required in order to graduate, students have a lot of flexibiity about what classes they choose to take. Students are not required to fulfill a lanuage requirement or a math or science requirement. Students are not required to take a computer class to graduate.

Student struggling to choose just one area of study may consider a double major. Double majoring may mean taking more courses, but it can provide a unique combination of experience that helps students stand out when job searching or applying to grad school.
Students must choose one of the majors offered by the college. Self-designed majors are not allowed. LSU Health Sciences Center does not require a senior project for all students.
LSU Health Sciences Center offers services for students with disabilities. Prospective students can contact the college's Office of Disability Services to learn more about any support and accomodations offered. These conversations are usually kept confidential and will not be shared with the admissions office if you do not wish to share.

LSU Health Sciences Center offers some credit for Advanced Placement (AP) classes taken in high school. Schools have different requirements for what AP scores they accept, so some students may not receive AP credit.
LSU Health Sciences Center does not offer an honors program for highly-qualified applicants, but does not offer a Freshman Honors College.
LSU Health Sciences Center does not require an internship for all students Students can still look for internships during the summer, or gain work experience with a part-time job.
