Lipscomb Academics

Lipscomb University requires at least 126 semester hours to graduate with a bachelor's degree. Students can choose the accelarated degree program if they would like to finish all the credits for graduation in less time than normal. Around 69% of students who started college at Lipscomb complete all the credits required within six years. Lipscomb offers an orientation program before the start of fall classes to prepare new students for college life.

Which Courses Do I Have To Take at Lipscomb?

Lipscomb has a core curriculum, which means there are certain classes or types of classes all students must take to graduate. Students do not need to fulfull a language requirement , but there is a math and science requirement. Does Lipscomb Offer Credit for AP Classes?

Lipscomb offers some credit for Advanced Placement (AP) classes taken in high school. Schools have different requirements for what AP scores they accept, so some students may not receive AP credit.

Does Lipscomb Have An Honor's Program?

Lipscomb offers an honors program for highly-qualified applicants, and does not offer a Freshman Honors College. The Freshman Honors college provides a rich curriculum for highly-motivated first-year students.
