Crown College Academics

Crown College requires at least 125 credit hours to complete a bachelor's degree. If students would like to graduate in less time than normal, they can choose the accelerated degree program. Around 50% of students who started college at Crown College complete all the credits required within six years. Crown College offers an orientation program before the start of fall classes to prepare new students for college life.

What Classes Are Required at Crown College?

Crown College has a core curriculum, which means there are certain classes or types of classes all students must take to graduate. Students do not need to fulfull a language requirement , but there is a math and science requirement. Students are not required to take a computer class to graduate.

Double majoring may require more work but it can provide a unique combination of experience that helps students stand out when looking for a job or applying to grad school.

Students must choose one of the majors offered by the college. Self-designed majors are not allowed. Crown College does not require a senior project for all students.

Crown College offers services for students with disabilities. Prospective students can contact the college's Office of Disability Services to learn more about any support and accomodations offered. These conversations are usually kept confidential and will not be shared with the admissions office if you do not wish to share.

Crown College has distance learning options for students who are interested in taking classes online.

Does Crown College Give Credit for AP Classes?

Crown College offers some credit for Advanced Placement (AP) classes taken in high school. Schools have different requirements for what AP scores they accept, so some students may not receive AP credit.

Does Crown College Have An Honor's Program?

Crown College offers an honors program for highly-qualified applicants, but does not offer a Freshman Honors College.

Does Crown College Require Internships?

Crown College does not require an internship for all students Students can still look for internships during the summer, or gain work experience with a part-time job.
