CCF Academics

College of Central Florida requires a minimum of 120 credit hours to complete a bachelor's degree. There is no accelarated degree program, . Additionally, CCF has a summer session, so students can earn credits during the summer. CCF offers an orientation program before the start of fall classes to prepare new students for college life.

Which Courses Do I Have To Take at CCF?

CCF has a core curriculum, which means there are certain classes or types of classes all students must take to graduate. Students are not required to fulfill a lanuage requirement , but there is a math and science requirement. Students do not have to take a computer class.

Majors at CCF

When choosing a major, CCF students have several choices to make. Scroll down to see a full list of majors offered at CCF below. CCF does not offer double majors, so students must choose on area of study to focus on. .

Students must choose one of the majors offered by the college. Self-designed majors are not allowed. CCF does not require a senior project for all students.

Does CCF Have Services For Students With Disabilities?

CCF offers services for students with disabilities. Prospective students can contact the college's Office of Disability Services to learn more about any support and accomodations offered. These conversations are usually kept confidential and will not be shared with the admissions office if you do not wish to share.

Does CCF Have An Online Program?

CCF has distance learning options for students who are interested in taking classes online.

Does CCF Offer AP Credit?

CCF offers some credit for Advanced Placement (AP) classes taken in high school. Schools have different requirements for what AP scores they accept, so some students may not receive AP credit.

Does CCF Have An Honor's Program?

CCF offers an honors program for highly-qualified applicants, and offers a Freshman Honors College. The Freshman Honors college provides a rich curriculum for highly-motivated first-year students.

Does CCF Require Internships?

CCF does not require an internship for students in some majors only. Internships can help students gain hands on work experience for their resume, and explore career paths that interest them without committing to one path.
