Case Western Reserve University requires at least 120 credits to graduate with a bachelor's degree. Students can choose the accelarated degree program if they would like to finish all the credits for graduation in less time than normal. Around 85% of students who started college at Case Western Reserve graduate within six years. Case Western Reserve offers an orientation program before the start of fall classes to prepare new students for college life.
Case Western Reserve has a core curriculum, which means there are certain classes or types of classes all students must take to graduate. Students are not required to fulfill a lanuage requirement , but there is a math and science requirement. Students are not required to take a computer class to graduate.

Student struggling to choose just one area of study may consider a double major. Declaring a double major may mean taking more courses, but it can provide an interesting mix of experience that helps students stand out when job searching or applying to grad school.
If students would like to study something that is not offered as an official major, they can design their own major. Students are not required to complete a senior project unless it is required for their specific major .
Case Western Reserve offers services for students with disabilities. Prospective students can contact the college's Office of Disability Services to learn more about any support and accomodations offered. These conversations are usually kept confidential and will not be shared with the admissions office if you do not wish to share.
Case Western Reserve does not have distance learning options or fully-online programs, so students must be able to attend classes on-campus.
Case Western Reserve offers some credit for Advanced Placement (AP) classes taken in high school. Schools have different requirements for what AP scores they accept, so some students may not receive AP credit.
Case Western Reserve offers an honors program for highly-qualified applicants, but does not offer a Freshman Honors College.
Case Western Reserve requires an internship for students in some majors only. Students can look for internships during the summer, or gain work experience with a part-time job.
