Baker Academics

Baker University requires at least 124 credit hours to graduate with a bachelor's degree. There is no accelarated degree program, . Bakerdoes not offer classes during the summer. Around 62% of students who started college at Baker finish the requirements for graduation within six years. Baker offers an orientation program before the start of fall classes to prepare new students for college life.

What Classes Do I Have To Take at Baker?

Baker has a core curriculum, which means there are certain classes or types of classes all students must take to graduate. Students need to fulfull a language requirement as well as a math and science requirement. Students are not required to take a computer class to graduate.

Majors at Baker

Student struggling to choose just one area of study may consider a double major. Double majoring may require more work but it can provide an interesting mix of experience that helps students stand out when job searching or applying to grad school.

If students would like to study something that is not offered as an official major, they can design their own major. Baker does not require a senior project for all students.

Baker offers some credit for Advanced Placement (AP) classes taken in high school. Schools have different requirements for what AP scores they accept, so some students may not receive AP credit.
