Roger Dooley is a co-founder of College Confidential and is now Vice President - Digital Marketing at Hobsons. He oversees the community and technology aspects of the site. His interest in college admissions began while assisting his own children with their college search and admissions process.
Having experienced the Ivy League admissions process first-hand, Roger realized the challenges faced by families that lack access to high school counselors with both the expertise and available time to help with that process. This personal experience combined with a desire to help students and parents succeed in their college process led to Roger's co-founding role at College Confidential.
Roger has a particular interest in the financial aid area, and has written articles like The Financial Aid Conundrum. He has been quoted in USA Today and other publications on college financial aid topics. He holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from Carnegie-Mellon University and an MBA from the University of Tennessee. He has also co-founded several technology firms, and is the author of the popular blog Neuromarketing.
