-Are you a memeber or has been a member?
-What kind of grades do you have?
-What benefits did you gain from membership?
-Aside from getting good grades, what does membership entail?
- What does it take to gain lifetime membership? is it hard? Do you have to have above 4.00?

I think that requirements depend on what school you're in.
At my school, you an A is 3 pts, B is 2 pts, C is 0 points, etc. You need about 10 points to join and this excludes PE. You need about 10 hrs of group community service per semester, mostly tutoring.
I know that when you graduate, you can wear a special sash or something like that, although most people choose to use NHS instead of CSF.

We don't have NHS.
What is the difference between NHS and CSF?
Do a lot of people graduate with the special sash or whatever ( i believe that indicates lifetime membership)

is CSF a respectable thing to put down on college applications?

csf means nothing. i mean, c'mon anyone with decent grades can make it into csf. if youre looking for competitive colleges, csf would be of no prestige or advantage since all competitive california kids are most likely in it.
but hey, not too hard to join and rewarding during graduation, when you get to wear a big chord that says CSF and you also get a seal on your h/s diploma. not bad for doing decent in school.
