I've always wanted to go to Stanford, DUke, and Rice. But all these reach schools are really hard to get into. i'm applying this year anyways but i'm also considering other back up schools like FSU, Tulane, TCU, and Univ. of Texas at Dallas. My parents want me to go to UTDallas and TCU because they're closer and cheaper. I'm not sure what to do if i get accepted to my reach schools. where should i go???...and are the "match" schools genuinely good schools???

fsu and stanford are two very different schools,i think fsu is 1100sat and standford is like 1450, i owuld pry just go with your parents suggerstion b/c they already told you they want a cheaper college to go to and i wouldnt put a burden on your paretns unless you are helping, ivy leages are just for name-bragging but they are just as good as many others

Why don't you worry about that in April if you get in? The brutal admissions process might just eliminate any choices you had. And if not, then good job!
