My english class is going to read around 14 books this year. i have a lot of books left from previous years. What do i do with all these books that i have? I want to get rid of it but i just don't know how so i'll get some compensation.
i would borrow these books, but sometimes it's a hassle to find and keep for long

Sell them on ebay or to students who need them.

Try a used book store. There are some that only deal in paperbacks. They'll pay you or let you trade for something else.
You could also donate them to your school library for use by other students who can't afford them.
