I hate, absolutely hate with a passion my Physics Honors class. The teacher is-- believe me when I say this-- absolutely awful, and I probably will not get above an 85 in this class.
It's my senior year. I've taken Earth Science, Bio, Chem, and AP Chem. Can I just drop Physics? Will it honestly affect my chances of getting into the colleges I want?
I'm applying EA to Georgetown and regular to Columbia, Harvard, NYU, GWU, Dartmouth, and Colgate.
I know these are big schools, but the sites all say I've taken the required years of science.
So, can I safely drop this class and not take a science my senior year, and still have a good chance of getting in? Assume everything else is Ivy level-- will my schedule get me rejected?

will it be noted on your transcript that you withdrew from the class?

I was going to drop it for Psychology and Journalism, because I want to be an English major anyway...I really don't think that just because I don't take physics they'll reject me.
I know that it doesn't show up on your report card in my school if you drop it before first marking period ends.

Maybe.. if they just came off reading a very strong candidate, then it could hurt you.
I'm applying to GU too -EA, but not the COL..
I originally had a fluff class called Tutoring, but then I delivered a syllabus of AP Macroeconomics to the Counseling Dept.. and now I have AP Macro instead of tutoring, and I am responsible for the 1st AP Comp. Gov class at my high school.. :-D..
Yay me..
