I am initiating a Book Club at my school. I am extremely excited about this undertaking! The way it will work is there will be one book per quarter, a website for discussion, and the book will be featured in the school paper quarterly.
Now, everyone already has their plate full with required reading and school work. My quire is, do you have any recommendations of a book to jump start the club? I have a few ideas of my own but I was just wondering what your opinions were.

I go to an all-girl Catholic Ukranian school, so I don't really know what my limits of content are yet. I am open to anything though.

We read that during an english class in 12th grade. Two very interesting plays that make for great discussions. We used to sit around and discuss them every day as we were reading it aloud in class.
