Why do parents decide to homeschool?

Do those of you who aren't/weren't homeschooled wish you were/had been? Why?

Is it that your school was crappy? Is it that you wished you had more time to explore areas that a school would not have because of their standard curriculum? What other reasons?

Somehow I just don't think I could stand bringing a child into this world and making them to go to school and being stuck to a standard curriculum doing busywork.

the more important question:

why dont you ask this in the homeschool board?

cuz he'd never get a response. There's like 8 people who visit that board.

I have a friend who only homeschooled during middle school. I totally understand why she did it. The middle school here is horrible. The teachers are all very prejudice and the school will not support a student going beyond the limits of its meager curriculum. I would have done the same thing if I had to go there for more than a semester.

My brothers are currently going there. They like it but I guess its because they haven't experienced middle school like I did. The additional bonus for them is that they have two overachieving sisters who are always badgering them to work ahead in their spare time, which they seem to have a lot of.

although the homeschooling forum is extremely low volume, this question has been asked and answered before. Just go read what's already there.
