Hey, I was thinking, is a valedictorian chosen based on senior grades or grades of all four years of highschool?

Generally all 4 years and weighted.

All 4 years and weighted for us too. If it weren't for the weighting my class would have like 10 valedictorians!

Mine is all high school courses, unweighted. But our grades are out of 100 (not A's, B's)so since they can go out as many decimals as necessary, ties are rare.

Valedictorian at my school is has nothing to do with grades. XD
They basically hold try-outs for the best speaker with the best speech.
