Is it a good idea to take physics in highschool? Do colleges prefer to see physics on transcripts than another type of science?

Physics is prob the best science class to take in highschool and probably one of the most favorable classes to have on a transcript. Plus fiziks is just damn cool and fun.

yes.. do take physics. If you are applying to the "less" competitive schools this course will help you stand out. It really isn't too difficult of a course if you are a loser like me and like math lol.

Take a year of Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. All three are of the utmost importance

clickspring hit the dot on the mark, you are suppose to take all three, save aps for senior year or take a light ap course for the first three years

Does chem/phys or phys/chem count? It is a chemisty/physics course, a semester spent on both. And what if your high school doesn't offer a physics class???

definitely take physics. Many are outraged enough by the American Education system: in Russia students take physics grades 7 through 11. How can it be optional in American public schools is beyond me.
