Just for the hell of it?
I know like 95% of the people here can get into whatever they want, but the %5 of us that can't, will you bother sending an application to a very top reach school?
I will probably send an application into UCLA even tho my chances aren't good. Crazier things have happened..

As long as you have matches and safeties too, there's no harm in applying to a "dream school" you don't think you'll get into. That's better than spending the rest of your life wondering what would have happened. Of course, don't go crazy and apply to 20 schools you are pretty sure are going to reject you. But 1 or 2 or 3 is certainly okay. And, who knows? You might get a pleasant surprise. Someone has to win the lottery.
