I missed the signup for SAT II's cuz of science comp stuff. I heard if you show up at a test center which is not full, you can take the exams. Does anyone know about this or have any info on it? Thanks a lot.

Yeah, just show up at the test center with the registration form in the registration envelope all figured out with a check of the right amount (including late fees, etc.) and just arrive at the test center as early as possible..... the earlier you arrive the greater chance you have of being able to take the test (the available spots are given out first come first serve). Just give them the registration and you're good to go... did it for SAT I's.

I might be wrong, but I don't think you can walk-in for the SAT IIs. I know you can do it for the SAT, but the SAT IIs are different because they have to order the right tests and stuff. I was going to do it last November, but my counselor told me that you can't. That being said, however, I never actually asked CB if you can "standby test" for the SAT IIs, so I am going entirely on hearsay.

They don't have to order the right tests for SAT II. You get every test in a big packet and you choose the ones you are taking.

Let me correct myself: if you are going to take a listening language test, they do have to special order that test (so you can't standby for it), but all other subjects come in one huge book.
