hey, I was wondering if i should take this class next year. I'm in honors English right now but I'm not very good, but my counselor says I should take it next year. Is it better to go to regular english and get an A or go to AP and get a B.

The answer to that question, of course, is that it's better to take AP English and get an A. But if given a choice, a B in AP English is probably better. Be wary, though; AP English Language is very technical writing-- large focus on literary techniques and rhetorical devices.

Well I am taking AP English next year and I have an A in my honors English class for the past two years. A B is still a really good grade, and I think colleges would take into consideration the fact that you had the initiative to take an AP course and still managed to get a good grade. Besides, who knows, if you work hard I bet you could pull an A. Good luck!
