Hey a few friends of mine have credit cards, I'm 15 and I wanted to know how I can get a debit card. I am particulary interested in making purchases online, and I want to know if I can receive money, like from my mom's credit card and transfer it to mine.

You have to sign up at the bank with one of your parents, and specify that you want it to be a debit card (not just an ATM card). They're a pretty nice deal- your parents can make designate monthly transferrals into your account, you can order stuff online, or go to an ATM and get the money too.

Yeah...unless you work with the CIA, you can't get a credit card until you're 18.

you can get a credit card if you're under 18 if a parent is a co-signer. That means if you spent a billion dollars, your parent will be responsible for paying off the debt. Unfortunately, you don't earn a credit rating under this scenario.
However, if you personally have alot of money [like 50k+ in cash / money market account], you can bargain with the bank to issue you a credit [not debit] card. I was able to do this through Wachovia bank because i had a CAP account with them.
If you don't care about getting a credit rating and just want to buy junk, the easiest pathway is definitely to have your parent co-sign for the card.
