It's that time again. AP tests are right around the corner. I'm a junior and I'm taking the Chem and US History. They will stomp me. I will not be the victor of these matches. =) What about you guys?
By Anticatalyst (Anticatalyst) on Sunday, May 02, 2004 - 10:07 pm: Edit
Hehe. Have fu-un.
I am a lowly freshman and I am not particularly superintelligent, so I am taking no APs. My friend (another freshman) is taking the Latin Virgil exam. Poor kid's about to die.

Sr:
AP Physics C - Mech and E&M
AP Econ - Micro and Macro
AP CS AB
AP Lit
Fun.
OH MAN. AP LATIN! Hard stuff. Probably my worst, but that doesn't say much. I took it the first year my school offered it, so it was a sort-of trial endeavour.

AP Stats and Am. Govt for me this year. I've pretty much thrown out all hope of a 4 or above on Stats...

I'm a Junior and I'm taking Language and Composition, Chemistry and American History this year. I don't feel comfortable about any of them, especially with the Language test being tomorrow morning.
Oh god.
At least everyone does so badly in Chemistry that I can probably get a 3.

Anyone taking Music theory? My theory class is so fun, and I love how the test goes over so many different aspects (dictation, singing, written)
Anyway, I'm taking Music theory, Statistics, English lit, and Biology.
Bio will be my downfall

By Wdlynn (Wdlynn) on Monday, May 03, 2004 - 05:34 pm: Edit
tomorrow won't be fun.
comp sci ab in the morning and stats in the afternoon.
later this week is english lit, and next week psychology and u.s. government.
The good thing is, after the AP tests my classes are pretty chill for the rest of the year.
By Alisone05 (Alisone05) on Monday, May 03, 2004 - 06:19 pm: Edit
Just took the Eng. Comp. today...I think i did pretty well.
Wednesday is calc ab, which is gonna be a four or a five.
Next week, chem. I'm scared...idk if I'll pass this one.
Does failing an exam look really bad to colleges? Even if you have all A's in the course?

AP History here. We've reviewed for 6 weeks (2 year course at my school) and I think I can definately get a 5. I've gotten 57/80 on MC tests (not great, but still pretty good and room for improvement) and 7-8s on free responses and DBQs, with an occasional 9. If I can get 60/80 on MC and average 6 on all my essays, I'd say I'd get a 5 (not a high one, but still a 5).
I also have a question. For our three essays, do we get breaks in between or do we get 130 minutes to write all three one after another. I hope we get breaks or else my hand will fall off!
By Mazzystar (Mazzystar) on Monday, May 03, 2004 - 06:57 pm: Edit
Man, Wed. I have my AP Human Geography exam. I'm not too worried about the MC, but it's more the FRQs that are freaking me out. I have an hour to do each, equating to a two hour test. I'm afraid I'll run out of time on my FRQs! (Three FRQs, 20 min max each) Ugh. First AP class ever. I hope I get a 4...or a 5.

i'm a senior and even though i have 3 ap classes, i'm only taking AP English Lit. not too stressed; i think i'll definitely pass because i have been doing well on the several practice tests i've taken.
last year i was so incredibly stressed though! i had to take the ap us history and ap spanish language exams. that was so incredibly stressful to me.

Wow aspirer - two in one day - eek!!
I'm lucky to only have one this year (I'm a junior). Next year though - at least 4, maybe 5!

I didn't think I could get so tired from just sitting but after three hours of AP English Lang and Comp I came to the conclusion that I either didn't have enough caffeine this AM or sitting is just a really tiring activiy!

I'm only doing AP comp sci A
I probably could be doing AB and i probably would get a 5 on it, but i don't want to test out of too much computer science. I won't have a class for programming anything next year, so it will all be spare time, "i wonder what would happen if i did this" sort of coding. However, my AP class is going to do final projects throughout may, which should be fun. anybody else doing final coding projects?
good luck to you all!
By Crypto86 (Crypto86) on Monday, May 03, 2004 - 08:05 pm: Edit
For comp sci we are only onto making our own class/client files now (been doing that for a month) Though this is only honors java, with AP next year (I'll be a senior then) so I have a whole year to work on it, but still I think we are behind in general. Hope I get into Columbia SHP so I can take the Java course there and actually get more teaching!

Doing even mediocre on my stats test is going to be fueled on wishes and dreams. The only reason I actually signed up to take the tests was because my teacher said we didn't have to take a final if we took the test. She lied. Still had to take a final. And now I still have to take the test. I dunno if I'll eat it, but I'm positive it will eat me. Lit should be a breeze and government will be decent. Looking at a 1,4/5, 3 respectively.

Calc BC and Biology for me. Study time.
BTW, does anyone know what the record is for number of APs taken in one year? A friend of mine is taking 10 APs (well, 9 if you count the two Physics C exams as one).
By Mimi (Mimi) on Tuesday, May 04, 2004 - 12:58 am: Edit
Oooh... today's test was okay. A little raw though, especially on the mulitple choice. The essay was a little delicious. I think my pre-history test tomorrow will eat me.

My schedule's none to bad compared to some of you guys.
Had Eng Land yesterday, not bad at all. Euro Friday, I'm a little nervous, but pretty prepared.

Okay, so I studied last night for Stats (thinking I was going to make a 4/5 anyway) but I am pretty sure I got a 2 after taking it this afternoon. Forget spending tonight cramming for Calculus - I'll take my chances.

AP Stats - what was with that test?... I got a solid 5 on our school's final (replication of 2002 exam) - I'm hoping that I held on to get the 4 after today.
AP Calc AB
AP US History
AP US Government
1 down... 3 to go. Lets hope the Calc doesn't go as bad as Stats. I'm not even going to bother doing the last minute cramming.
